What is aave?

African American Vernacular English or AAVE is a dialect of English that is commonly used by African Americans.

Should I use aave?

Every person has their own comforts and if a black person is uncomfortable with you using aave, it is not your place to disrespect their boundary and choose to use it, it all depends on the person; so always clarify and ask if it is ok for you to use it around that person.
